Crone Chronicles Rebirth

Since I can’t figure out how to get onto my Crone Chronicles blog anymore, I’ve decided to move it over here… where it fits right in, anyway. I haven’t been able to log on there, so I don’t even know how to shut it down. I’ll leave that for another day, LOL.

There isn’t much posted on that blog, but you might want to check out the Emotional Roller Coaster post. Even though I wrote it in 2012, it is still very applicable today. Maybe more than ever! (Personally, I would avoid the cheese recommendation. Cheese is not good for most of us, and the dairy industry is really cruel to cattle and the planet.)

Speaking of emotional roller coasters, it’s been pretty crazy here in Sonoma County lately. Massive fires have destroyed hundreds of homes in neighborhoods very close to me and many thousands of my neighbors have had to evacuate. Fortunately, we had a good rain last night that cleared the smoke out of the air and helped the firefighters get control of the fires.

Needless to say, it has been an emotionally draining couple of weeks. I see it as a wake up call to get our priorities straight. Many people had to run out into the night with nothing but their pajamas. And here I am, just a few miles away, having lost nothing but a few hours of sleep. I feel grateful, and I also feel like that gives me a certain responsibility.

Magical Responsibility

I chose the priestess image on the left, because it speaks to me of responsibility — the ability to respond. While many people will have to focus on starting from scratch, having lost everything but their lives, I have the luxury of choosing what to focus on. I took time out to volunteer at the local makeshift healing center and donated to a couple of good causes that provide food and housing for those who lost their homes. Now what?

That’s where the magic comes in. I woke up this morning for the first time in a couple of weeks, feeling like I am in the New Earth reality. It feels hopeful. Joyful even. I heard songbirds!

Two things happened next. Empathy started pulling me into feeling sad for my unfortunate neighbors. After all, who am I to survive unscathed when so many wonderful people lost everything? But then I realized… or maybe remembered is more accurate… that the best way I can help them, and myself and the rest of the world, is to enter into the joyful reality with everything I’ve got. My job is to be a nucleus of harmony and to hold that vibration of harmony, joy, and love for the benefit of all.

It’s not easy. I got pulled out of it again and again as I watched news reports of flames engulfing familiar neighborhoods. The fear and depression of so many others around me was contagious. I forgot the truth of who I am and where I live… where I really live. I forgot my magic!

Life goes on. New sprouts will turn the hills green. Houses will be rebuilt in the burned neighborhoods. New insights will come out the loss and destruction. I will step back.

It’s not that I don’t care. But I choose to care enough to stop focusing on the destruction. I have to look away in order to raise my own vibration. And only by raising my vibration can I tap into the reality of the New Earth that we are birthing along with beings of the faery realm and other unseen helpers.

I’m all for political and social activism, but only when it can happen in a spirit of love and joy. Our first job, if we are to be effective agents of change, is to anchor ourselves in the high vibrational energy of Truth with a capital T… the truth that underlies all reality. In that Truth, all is well. All is always well. We know this in our hearts and it is most important to remember this mentally as well in these challenging times.

We have to disconnect from the media feeds and reconnect with Nature and our inner knowing if we want to remember who we really are. If we want to recognize where we really live and what we can create, we have to slow down. Be still. Relax.

From that still inner knowing comes our power to shape worlds. And the worlds we shape around ourselves will radiate out to touch everyone around us.

Declare your intentions and dance through life as they unfold. You are that powerful. We are all that powerful. Let’s not forget.

That is my lesson for today… thanks to the rains and the songbirds that opened a window into the New Earth for me this morning. It feels good to be home!
