Dion Fortune defined magic as "the art of causing changes to take place in consciousness in accordance with will," but magic is not dependent on will alone. The unique value of magic is that it can bypass conscious will to communicate directly with the subconscious mind. Sometimes it is simply a matter of attuning oneself to other-dimensional, uplifting realities. Magic - The Language
